Directions of research
Chemistry for industry
We are a scientific and research center with a long tradition. Our mission is to apply innovative solutions to the chemical industry. We have many years of experience in working with chemical industry plants, especially the fertilizer industry in the broadest sense. We conduct a variety of activities ranging from basic work, implementation of research and development projects to implementation work and commercialization of products and technologies, including turnkey projects An important area of activity is the modernization of existing technological solutions in the area of large-scale chemical synthesis, resulting in the improvement of technological indicators of production and energy efficiency of processes. Particular attention is paid to technologies related to obtaining and industrial use of hydrogen, coupling of hydrogen streams in chemical plants, development of modern fertilizer technologies.
Energy transformation
We are an active participant in energy transition processes. Within the scope of our competence is the development and implementation of technologies closely related to reducing the energy intensity of industry (improving energy efficiency), the possibility of using RES in technological processes towards chemical products and chemical energy storage (production of “green ammonia”). An important element that can contribute to the success of the energy transition is the development of new catalysts. An example of such efforts is the development and implementation of the production and industrial application of a catalyst that contributes to a significant reduction in emissions of the greenhouse gas N2Ofrom stationary sources. Other areas in the orbit of our interest are technologies for the chemical management ofCO2, such as in the methanation process.
Closed-loop economy
We are taking steps to introduce the principles of a closed-loop economy into industrial practice. We create more environmentally friendly technologies, directed at the development of products with high added value (extracts), minimization and waste management (fertilizers, biodegradable plastics, management of technological waste streams). We are a leader in the area of research and industrial technologies for extracting compounds that are functional additives for the food, cosmetic and fertilizer industries from plant materials using supercriticalCO2 extraction.
