History

Łukasiewicz - New Chemical Syntheses Institute (Łukasiewicz - INS).

is a modern research unit that was established in 1958 by elevating the Tarnów branch of the Institute of Chemical Synthesis to the status of an independent institution under the name of the Institute of Fertilizers.

Today, the Institute conducts advanced research, development and implementation work and commercializes innovative technologies for the chemical industry and bioeconomy. It focuses on developing cutting-edge technological processes, modernizing plants, designing catalysts and developing novel fertilizers. In addition, it specializes in advanced technologies for the extraction of valuable substances, such as supercritical extraction, the processing of biocrude materials using biodegradable polymers and the production of active substance micronisates (APIs).

By combining years of research experience with an innovative approach, Łukasiewicz – INS supports the development of a modern, sustainable knowledge-based economy and technology transfer to industry.
