Protection of Personal Data
The Łukasiewicz Research Network – New Chemical Syntheses Institute, hereinafter referred to as “Łukasiewicz – INS,” acts as a data controller processing personal data as part of its operations. The processing of personal data by Łukasiewicz–INS is carried out in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), hereinafter “GDPR,”
’s Act of May 10, 2018, on the Protection of Personal Data, and other generally applicable legal provisions. The primary objective of Łukasiewicz – INS with regard to the processing of personal data is to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of natural persons in connection with the processing of their data.
Information clause
According to the content of Article 13 and Article 14 of RODO Łukasiewicz – INS is obliged to provide information in case:
- collection of data from the data subject;
- obtaining personal data by means other than from the data subject.
Pursuant to Article 12(1) of the GDPR, this information is provided by Łukasiewicz – INS
in a concise, transparent, understandable, and easily accessible form, using clear and plain language. Information regarding the processing of personal data is provided by Łukasiewicz – INS in writing, including electronically. In accordance with Article 12(5) of the GDPR, Łukasiewicz – INS does not charge any fees for providing information pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of the GDPR. If the data subject’s requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular due to their repetitive nature, Łukasiewicz–INS may:
- charge a reasonable fee, taking into account the administrative costs of providing the information or taking the requested actions;
- or refuse to take action in response to the request.
The onus is on Łukasiewicz – INS to show that the demand is manifestly unreasonable or excessive in nature.
