The European Union Strategy for Gender Equality 2020 – 2025 outlines goals and actions to achieve significant progress towards gender equality in Europe by 2025. The main goals are to combat gender-based violence, break down gender stereotypes, close the gender gap in the labor market, ensure equivalent participation in various sectors of the economy, address the gender pay gap and achieve gender balance in decision-making.
At Łukasiewicz – INS, a task force of employees worked on the development and implementation of the Gender Equality Plan, which analyzed statistical data in this area and the responses given by Institute employees in a survey conducted by the Łukasiewicz Center. Based on this analysis, expanded by an analysis of the unit’s organizational context, the goals and activities to be implemented in the coming years were set.
