Ammonia synthesis catalysts* – PS-3-INS, PS-3-INS-R
Application
PS-3-INS and PS-3-INS-R catalysts are designed for the synthesis of ammonia from hydrogen and nitrogen.
Characteristics
PS-3-INS (oxide form) and PS-3-INS-R (prereduced form) are alloy catalysts. The main components of the oxide form are magnetite and promoters. The prereduced form contains metallic iron. The oxide catalyst obtains the final active form as a result of the reduction of iron oxides to iron carried out after loading into an industrial reactor. The catalyst is supplied in the form of irregular pellets of 1.5 – 3 mm, 3 – 6 mm, 6 – 10 mm, 8 – 12 mm and others.
