High-temperature carbon monoxide conversion catalyst* TZC-3/1
Application
TZC-3/1 catalyst is designed for high-temperature conversion of carbon monoxide with water vapor in the processes of obtaining hydrogen and synthesis gases.
Characteristics
TZC-3/1 series catalysts are co-precipitated type catalysts. They are supplied in oxide form. The active form of the catalyst (Fe3O4, Cr2O3 and Cu) is obtained by a reduction process carried out in an industrial reactor. The catalyst is offered as standard in the form of tablets with convex bases measuring 6×6 mm. The catalyst is also available in 10×6 mm and 8.5×6 mm versions, which are characterized by increased resistance to degradation due to micro water droplets and high mechanical strength. It is recommended to apply it in the upper layer of the bed as a cover layer.
Operating parameters
- Temperature [°C]: 300 ÷ 480
- Pressure [bar]: up to 70
Operational advantages
- high and stable activity,
- High selectivity that allows the reforming process to be carried out at low steam/gas ratios,
- high mechanical strength,
- minimal sulfur content (removed during catalyst reduction, which virtually eliminates a separate desulfurization process),
- Low and stable flow resistance,
- long service life.

Low-temperature carbon monoxide conversion catalysts* – TMC-3/1, TMC-3/1-K, TMC-3/1-Cs, TMC-3/1-CsLa
Application
TMC-3/1 series catalysts are designed for low-temperature conversion of carbon monoxide with water vapor in the processes of obtaining hydrogen and synthesis gases.
Characteristics
TMC-3/1 series catalysts are co-precipitated type catalysts. They are supplied in oxide form and require activation after loading into an industrial reactor. The active agent is metallic copper (formed by the reduction of the catalyst) Zinc oxide affects the activity of copper and increases the resistance to poisoning. Aluminum oxide acts as a structural promoter. The catalyst is available in versions with the addition of alkali i.e. potassium and/or cesium compounds: TMC-3/1-K (enhanced resistance to halogens), TMC-3/1-Cs (enhanced selectivity, minimized methanol formation) and the latest version TMC-3/1CsLa with high and stable activity due to an optimized catalyst formulation. The catalysts are offered as standard in the form of tablets with flat and convex bases of 4.5 x 3.5 mm or others according to customer requirements.
Operating parameters
- Temperature [°C]: 180 ÷ 280
- Pressure [bar]: up to 40
- Load [h-1]: usually up to 4000
Operational advantages
- High and stable activity that allows operation at low temperatures
- favorable chemical formula giving high resistance to poisons and the ability to work without a protective bed
- high thermostability and mechanical strength
- Low and stable flow resistance, thanks to improved grain geometry
- long service life
