July 30, 2025. The Łukasiewicz Research Network – New Chemical Syntheses Institute (Łukasiewicz – INS), Rockfin S.A., Hynfra P.S.A., and Niterra Co., Ltd. formalized their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly promote sustainable industrial practices. The alliance will focus on developing state-of-the-art solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) technology for the production of green hydrogen to decarbonize ammonia production.
The joint project involves the construction of a demonstration plant that will be integrated with the unique Łukasiewicz–INS research system for ammonia synthesis. The facility is scheduled to begin operations in early 2026 at our Institute in Puławy, in collaboration with one of Poland’s chemical companies.
SOEC electrolyzers open up entirely new possibilities for integrating energy and chemical processes. This is a decisive step toward making green hydrogen a practical solution for the chemical and fertilizer industries, while maintaining competitive production costs.
