Łukasiewicz – INS co-organized the International Conference Science and Industry – Challenges and Opportunities (SICO 2025)

The annual edition of the International Conference Science and Industry – Challenges and Opportunities jointly organized by Maria Curie – Skłodowska University, Łukasiewicz – New Chemical Syntheses Institute, the Polish Chemical Society and John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin was held on 24th – 26th of June 2025.

The conference was a forum for sharing knowledge and experience and it was an opportunity to present results of research and to carry out interdisciplinary discussion regarding the current challenges and market demands.

The first day (24th of June) held in the IT Institute of Maria Curie Skłodowska University was dedicated to analytical chemistry, environmental technology, biomedical engineering, electroanalytical methods and spectroscopy as well micro- and nanoplastics.

During the second day (25th of June ), participants met in the Puławy Science and Technology Park. Sessions were focused on challenges in the field of production of catalysts and evaluation of catalyst efficiency, bio-fertilizers, nanomaterials and recovery of metals from waste.

The third day (26th of June) was held at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin where results of studies in the field of bioengineering, health science and agriculture were presented.
