Catalyst: KUB-3
Application
The KUB-3 catalyst is designed for the hydrogenation of benzene to cyclohexane, i.e. the first stage of the synthesis of cyclohexanol that is the semi-product in the caprolactam production process. KUB-3 can also be used in other processes of hydrogenation.
Characteristics
KUB-3 is a nickel-based catalyst of a co-precipitated type. The main component is pre-reduced nickel-alumina system, containing dispersed metallic nickel. Nickel is the active component of the catalyst, alumina acts as a structural promoter.
