A member of the Catalysts Research Group among the winners of the National Science Centre (NCN) Miniatura 9 competition
Dr. Kamila Michalska from the Catalysts Research Group at Łukasiewicz - INS is among the winners of the 9th edition of the Miniatura competition funded by the National Science Centre. Her research will focus on aspects related to the search for new synthesis pathways for catalysts used in the Sabatier reaction, i.e., the catalytic conversion of CO₂ and hydrogen to methane (SNG – Synthetic Natural Gas). The research will include the design of materials with advanced geometry that facilitates efficient heat dissipation during the methanation process conducted at elevated temperatures to drastically reduce the risk of hot spots. The implementation of this proposed research project will expand knowledge of new structural catalysts.
