We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Professor Henryk G\u00f3recki, a person of particular merit and lasting association with the history and activities of the Institute of Fertilizers (INS) in Pu\u0142awy, now \u0141ukasiewicz – New Chemical Syntheses Institute.<\/p>\n
Prof. Henryk G\u00f3recki, D.Sc., professionally affiliated with the Wroc\u0142aw University of Technology, was an outstanding chemist and scientific authority in the field of chemical technology and mineral fertilizers. He was associated with the Pulawy Fertilizer Institute, and later \u0141ukasiewicz – New Chemical Syntheses Institute, for many years as Chairman of the Scientific Council, as well as a member of the Institute’s Council. His knowledge, experience and authority had a significant impact on shaping the directions of scientific research and the substantive level of the work carried out. <\/p>\n
Professor G\u00f3recki combined scientific activity with responsibility for the development of research institutions in Poland. He held numerous expert and advisory positions, and his achievements have made a lasting mark in the history of Polish chemistry and industrial technology. The passing of Professor Henryk G\u00f3recki is a great loss to the scientific community and the entire Institute community. <\/p>\n
