On 23\u201326 November 2025, the 49th International Scientific and Technical Seminar \u201cChemistry for Agriculture and Human Health\u201d was held in Karpacz, bringing together experts in chemistry, environmental biology, biotechnology, food technology as well as medicine and dietetics. The conference served as a platform for knowledge exchange, presentation of research results and discussion on emerging challenges in applied chemistry related to agriculture and human health protection.<\/p>\n

Researchers from \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 INS presented two communications during the event:<\/p>\n

Dr Krzysztof Borowik<\/strong> \u2013 Use of post-fermentation products in biofertilizers for environmentally friendly agriculture.<\/li>\n
Dr Alicja Drozd<\/strong> \u2013 Analytical challenges in determining contaminants and nutrients in organic and organo-mineral fertilizers using ICP-OES.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nIn addition, five scientific posters were presented, showcasing current research findings:\n

Analysis of metal content in honey and bee pollen using ICP-OES (Drozd A., Ostrowski J., Dobrowolski R.)<\/li>\n
Improving the sorption of heavy metal ions on low-cost sorbents modified with agar-based biochar (Gustaw S., Drozd A., B\u0105k J., Ko\u0142ody\u0144ska D.)<\/li>\n
Fertilizing and microbiological properties of an industrial by-product from the dairy industry in the form of acidic whey (Drozd A., Bogusz P., Flakiewicz J., Maziarczyk I., Wrona O., Zdunek A.)<\/li>\n
Pressure granulation of solid post-fermentation fractions (Schab S., Borowik K.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The conference served as an important platform for presenting the latest scientific research results and for fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among academic institutions, research institutes and the industrial sector.<\/p>\n
