On June 4-6, 2024, the International Conference Science and industry – challenges and opportunities was held in Lublin and Pu\u0142awy, a continuation of the previously organized Symposium “Science and industry – spectroscopic methods in practice, new challenges and opportunities”.<\/p>\n
The event gathered over 100 participants from Poland and abroad from the fields of exact and natural sciences, engineering and technology, medical and health sciences, and agriculture who discussed the latest achievements in their fields.<\/p>\n
On June 5, 2024, as a co-organizer of the conference, \u0141ukasiewicz – INS hosted conference participants in the Pu\u0142awy Science and Technology Park. The event was opened by dr. hab. Pawe\u0142 Kowalik and the sessions were led by dr. hab. Monika Wawrzkiewicz and dr hab. Anna Wo\u0142owicz. Among the speakers were employees of our Institute: dr. Katarzyna Ty\u015bkiewicz was presenting the antifungal properties from clove extract, Agnieszka Myka was talking about the characteristics of polihalite and dr. Anna Zdunek was presenting research results on the removal of fluoride ions from ammonium sulfate(VI) solutions.<\/p>\n
The event was organized by the Institute of Chemical Sciences of the Maria Curie-Sk\u0142odowska University in Lublin (UMCS), the Polish Chemical Society and the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network – New Chemical Syntheses Institute.<\/p>\n
