As of May 21, 2024, the President of the Łukasiewicz Center entrusted the function of Director of Łukasiewicz – INS to Dr. Eng. Cezary Możenski.
The Director is a graduate of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology of the Cracow University of Technology. He obtained his PhD in technical sciences at the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology. From 1981 to 2022 he was an employee of the Institute of New Chemical Syntheses in Puławy. At the Institute, he advanced through the ranks of his professional career, up to the position of its Director, which he held for 10 years, from 2007 to 2017.
He is the author of innovative technological solutions sold in the form of licenses and implemented in industry in Poland and abroad, and the author of numerous scientific scientific publications and patents. As Director of the Development and Investment Department at Zakłady Azotowe “Puławy” S.A. and Director of the Institute he led teams involved in the implementation of large investment and development projects.
Currently, he performs the function of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe “Puławy” SA.
He was also a member of the Supervisory Board of PKN Orlen S.A., the Scientific Council of the Institute of Chemical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Rada Naukowa Instytutu Inżynierii Chemicznej PAN), the Main Council of Research Institutes (Rada Główna Instytutów Badawczych), the Council of the Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry (Rada Polskiej Izby Przemysłu Chemicznego), the Committee of Chemical and Process Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Komitet Inżynierii Chemicznej i Procesowej PAN).
