GREEN2022 associates experts from different fields all over the world to present and share their latest scientific achievements and face the challenges regarding difficult issues.

This year, Sieć Badawcza Łukasiewicz – Instytut Nowych Syntez Chemicznych was represented by dr. Stoja Milovanovic who presented scientific results of the project carried out with Łukasiewicz – INS: Application of a green solvent for production of high value biologically active plant and algae extracts under the ULAM Programme financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchange.

Dr Stoja Milovanovic carries out studies on supercritical fluid extraction of Taraxacum officinale seeds, This plant is the undervalued raw material in spite of its vast range of biological properties for many applications. In her poster presentation: Supercritical CO2 extraction from dandelion: the effect of pressure on extracts yield and composition (authors: Stoja Milovanovic, Agnieszka Dębczak, Katarzyna Tyśkiewicz, Marcin Konkol), the author showed the presence of valuable biologically active compounds in dandelion seeds with high anti-oxidising properties.
